The Key Laboratory of Bioinorganic and Synthetic Chemistry of the Ministry of Education was established in 2005 with the approval of the Ministry of Education. His current research interests include: bioinorganic chemistry and applications, synthesis and application of rare earth photovoltaic materials, complex synthesis chemistry and crystal engineering, complex structure chemistry and theoretical chemistry. The laboratory has 3 academicians of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (Su Shi, Ji Liangnian, Chen Xiaoming), 2 professors of Changjiang Scholars (Chen Xiaoming and Su Chengyong), and 6 National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars (Chen Xiaoming, Su Chengyong, Tong Mingliang, Lu Tongbu, Mao Zongwan and Zhang Jiepeng), one national talent project candidate, and eight candidates for the New Century Excellent Talent Support Program of the Ministry of Education. Of the 33 fixed researchers, 19 were doctoral supervisors, 18 were professors, 5 were associate professors, 5 were lecturers, and 5 were experimental staff.
